Music Monday!!!

Hi guys!

A few weeks ago I watched the Coachella livestream (so sad I couldn't go :( ) and became obsessed with the first artist I listened to.  This chick has been on repeat on my iPod, iPhone and iTunes since I downloaded her album that night.  Im talking about ZZ Ward.  First of all, I want the playsuit she was wearing on stage:

its casual, its dressy, its life.

Second of all, her music is great amazing!  Shes been on the scene since 2012, when her album "Til The Casket Drops" came out.  It has 13 songs and, seriously guys, each one could be a single.  Her voice is powerful and soft at the same time, and the melodies are super smooth.  Her music is like a mix of blues, hip-hop and pop.  This music is perfect for a chill, rainy day or for a run.

I was going to pick a favorite song for you, but I honestly can't, I love them all.  If you haven't listened to ZZ Ward yet, then you need to.  Trust me.  Oh, and the girl can rock a hat!

Just Like Leather?

Hello Lovlies.  In a few weeks I will be attending my first bachelorette party... YIKES!!  When did my friends grow up without me?  The maid of honor decided to have all the girls wear black (no problem) with purple accents (problem).  Don't get me wrong, I love purple.  I own many a purple shirts, but accessories, not so much.  Especially ones that will coordinate with the dress I decided to wear.  I'll probably do a post showing you what I decided to wear to the bachelorette party and the bridal shower, which is the next morning.  Someone get the gatorade ready.

Anyways, I was shopping the other day, trying to figure out what I would do when I thought purple nail polish would solve my problem.  I then ran drove to Ulta to find the perfect shade that says Im mature enough that I have friends getting married, but I'm still here to have fun aka party.  I was prepared to purchase No More Film by Essie, when I saw a pretty cool, new collection by Revlon.

This was a collection promoting the new Amazing Spiderman movie.  So I decided to go with the Revlon Leather Cuir in Downtown.  Not only was it a gorgeous shade of purple, but it said my nails would look like leather! And for only $5.99!!  Im a huge fan of leather and the smaller price tag, so I was sold.  I would just like to say that I am not great at nails, but I'm not awful either.  I only applied one coat because it went on very opaque and thick.  The polish did texturize immediately as it dried.  Would I say my nails now look like leather? No.  Its more of a very dull sand paper, if you can imagine that.  Between the texture and the almost matte like finish though, I do like it.  I wish it didnt dry so dark, but i think my purple dilemma is over.  Throw on some purple eyeshadow and I'll be all set.

Let me know if you guys have tried this line and what you thought about it.

Hi Everyone!!

Hello!  My name is Ashley (if you didn't already know).  I decided to start this blog for a few reasons.  First, I LOVE fashion and feel the need to share this love.  I follow a lot of fashion bloggers on various social media and usually leave thinking "UGH! I can't afford anything they just posted about. <insert sad, crying emoji here>".  Seriously, most people don't have a closet full of $600.00 skirts and designer shoes.  Second, I need a hobby.  For realz.  Apparently people don't accept shopping as a serious hobby in everyday life... I know my bank account doesn't.  I'm not super sure of where I'm going to go with this blog yet, but expect to see outfits, hauls (duh), beauty products, books, music and experiences.  I have a good feeling about this and looking forward to meeting people with similar interests!
